Terra Firma Testing) have completed a geotechnical assessment of Blocks 2 & 4 of the Palaterra Subdivision in Anchorage, Alaska. The results of our assessment indicate that the soils located onsite are suitable for support of the proposed improvements. The near surface (<10 feet bgs) soils at the site consist of silt and silty sand and gravels. These silty soils are generally impermeable, which can impact foundation drainage, as well as potential septic systems. We conducted percolation testing across the site to determine the permeability of the soils between 5 and 10 feet. The results of the percolation testing indicate that the site is generally unsuitable for typical septic systems. Advanced wastewater treatment systems or a community septic system may be appropriate for this site. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to provide you with our professional services. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments you may have regarding the information presented in this report. Sincerely, Northern Geotechnical Engineering, Inc. d.b.a.
