Ste A-113 PMB 406 Cell 907-841-3695 Wasilla AK 99687 Fax 760-280-9756 email' Mnard~ni~ak net March 20, 2002 ~ 1 0 @ 2 2 ~t~,Y $ ~ RE' Soils Report, Subdivision of Lot 83, T15N R2W See 25 into proposed Lot 83A and 83B T15N R2W See 25 Mr. Rasmusson and Other Concerned Parties, As requested by my client, Mr. A1 Rasmusson, I have performed the soils investigation on the above- mentioned property, for approval of the proposed subdivision The property is a 2 5-acre tract that is proposed to be divided into 2 lots The lots are split into an Eastern and Western lot Upon investigation, It was found that them was a sufficient area w~th acceptable soil for septic usage on each of the proposed lots Two test holes were placed ~n an areas suitable for septic system placement. No ground water was found m either hole, to a depth of 14' on lot 83A and 15' on lot 83B A four-inch momtor tube was placed into both test holes, which was then backfilled and left in place for measurement of any groundwater table at a later date. Soils were a clean, well graded gravel with sand and little to no fines Some boulders (+6") were present throughout the depth of the hole The soil below the top layer of orgamcs is very loose, and caved as the hole was dug deeper Pemolatlon tests were performed at each hole Attached to this cover letter is a softs log and percolation test for each test hole of the proposed subdivision of Lot 83 The lots surrounding the proposed subdivision have well and septic placements that allow adequate separation d~stances to allow for construction ora septic system and placement ora well There is a Class C well on the property to the Northwest of lot 83A wluch was accounted for in the placement of the test holes In summary, I find that these lots have soils that are statable for the construction of a conventional subsurface wastewater d~sposal system for a smgle-famdy residence in accordance w~th all MOA specifications Each lot also has over 44,000 Square feet of usable area for development and adequate room for a septic system and a reserve system for future use. All of the surrounding lots have on-site wells showing that there is a usable aqmfer for on-site water use If you have any questions, feel free to contact me Sincerely Matthew J.
