The attached site plan identifies the location of the home as well as the existing well, septic location. The owner currently has a 4-bedroom system, but has asked for a 5- bedroom replacement. The ground surface on the lot slopes toward the road moderately around the home, but where the test holes were dug the ground flattens out to 1-5% slopes. There are no slopes greater than 25% within 50 feet downslope of either the primary or alternate site. Contours are shown on the site plan showing the grade and direction of flow. Stormwater drainage will not impact this septic system. The new trenches will be constructed parallel to the slope as much as possible. Wells on this and adjacent lots are shown. The new system will be a minimum of 100’ from all wells and surface water, and more than 5’ away from the septic tank. Please refer to the attached test hole logs, plan and profile pages for the septic design. If this design is followed, there will be no adverse impacts to adjacent properties. R, Holland Box 385B SRA Anchorage, Alaska Re: Test Hole and Soil Log Report for Sanitary System, Track B-l, Tengbeg Subdivision Dear Mr. Holland: We are submitting herewith the test boring results and our comments regarding soil conditions encountered at the subject site. This investigation was performed in accordance with your request of May 6, 1974, and those procedures outlined in a letter dated September 13, 197i by Mr. Roll Strickland of the Greater Anchorage Area Borough Department of Environmental Quality. A single test hole was put down within the Tract B-1 area for the purpose of defining genera], subsurface soil conditions for the proposed .sanitary system. Excavation was accomplished with a tractor-mounted backhoe and the testhole was extended to a total depth of 16.0 feet below ground surface. The final log.prepared for the test hole has been included in Drawing A-01. Ground water was not encountered in the test hole. We appreciate being given this opportunity to be of service to you. Should you have any questions with regard to the above, please do not hesitate to contact us. Very truly yours, R & M ENGINEERING & GEOLOGICAL CONSULTANTS, James W. Rooney V INC.
