SPECIAL PROVISIONS:

Lot 2 Sunshine Acres Subdivision
Q~ $i~ ~ast~ w~er Disposal Pesi,qR
The design is conventional. It is sized for a three bedroom
residence. The computed size is 3xlS0=450gpd. The effluent
application rate at the minimum measured percolation rate, 16
minutes/inch, is 0.6gpd/sqft= 750.Ssqft, (250 sqft per bedroom).
The septic 'tank size for 3 bedrooms is 1000 gallons. Separations
are those described in AO 90-48(S-1), see figure la. Figure iA,
at 1"=100·, shows the lot and all items in a 200' radius of the
proposed well and waste water system.
The drain field is a trench system parallel to the slope
contours. The trench is nominally 6' deep. Because of the shallow
depth manufactured insulation is used to protect the drain field.
Depth to rock is typically over 22', 22-6=16'>6'. similarly, the
depth to the water table is over 15', 15-4=11'>6'. Using the
1993 test pits the septic rock depth becomes 4' and the trench
length is 93 feet. Adequate room exists for this. We think post
site earthwork testing will reduce field length to about 45 feet
by confirming bedrock and water level estimates, and also the 5
minute/inch percolation rate trend for the local area. Reserve
area separation is over 10'. The on site waste water treatment
system is located on figure la. The detail is zoomed on figure 2
for clarity. The design is detailed for a total depth of 6 feet
with 4 feet of septic rock below the perforated pipe and drainage
layer. Two inches of closed cell polyethylene insulation is
placed over tbs gravel and below the mounded unclassified surface
fill. The trenoh need only be 3 feet wide, but we expect it will
be nominally 5 feet to allow easy construction. (This will result
in more septic rock than required by minimum width computations.)
Wate~ ~e!.l
The land owner has drilled successful wells at adjacent sites.
His location for this lots well is near the western boundary, 100
feet west and 150 feet north of the S.W. corner, see figure la.
At this location The well is expected to be a deep rock well,
200 to 400 feet deep, and to have typical quality for the area,
slightly hard with moderate flow.
The well and waste water system are located on a 5 acre lot. The
gradient is less than 25%.
There are no surface drainage features on the site.
There are no expected impacts on other local water waste
water systems, reeerved space, or subsurface drai]

Subject: Lot 2 Sun Shine Acres, Permit #SW930141, PID #017-401-36
Reference: MUNI June 6,1994 letter
Gentlemen:
In response to yours of 6 June 1994:
Rampart Drilling placed a well on the property in 1993. It was
adequate. We then purchased the property. We have not
completed site plans or house plans and very likely will
relocate the drainfield from the location shown on the permit.
We recognize that will require a new submittal for the on site
sewage disposal system, percolation tests, and etc.
The well log and water quality tests are attached.
Karabelnikof Surveying assures me that they will do our lot
survey including the well location this next week. From past
experience we expect slippage to continue to about: the end of
summer. We have located it roughly on the attached drawing. It
is close to where we planned, but is where Rampart wished it.
They owned the land and had experience in local wells and
located the well.
3. We verify, by this letter, Mr. Claus's attached log and water
quality reports.
The well was drilled in 1994 to a depth of 530 feet. Water was
mostly above 250 feet, though some was found to 400 feet. The
extra depth provides storage. The well was cased through
overburden into rock. It is open hole from there to its
extent. Water is from cracks in the rock. The recharge rate
is between 1 and 3 gpm. This is marginal, but adequate to our
needs. It was pumped and quality tested by Rampart Drilling. A
Lot 2 Sun Shine Acres, Permit 2SW930141, PID 2017-401-36, Page 2
permanent pump is provided, but will not be installed until we
request it, as part of our construction program. The well now
has a sanitary top cap seal.
The well is easily found. It is near the bend of the pioneer
access drive, in the open, on the drill pad. Access is from
the SE corner of the lot. The well is visible from that point.
You may recollect, this project is a private custom residence
that is being tailored by me to my wife and my desires for our
use. The cost of the development is such that we have only one
shot at getting it the way we want it. Therefore, we are not
following the general residential construction procedure of
rushing through design and permitting. Even though we have 5
acres to work with, access, earthwork, view and neighboring
developments impact the areas suitable for drainfields,
reserve and associated items. The impacts are such that they
are being treated as a whole. It is for this reason that we
will probably not use the precise location for the drain field
shown in the permit.
You may use this letter and attachments as documentation for
the well as-built, with the exception of permanent pumps and
plumbing. The well will be located on the plot plan and
forwarded to you when received from Karabelnikof Surveying.
