Dear Mrs. Mansfield:
We are submitting herewith the test boring results and our comments
regarding soil conditions encountered at the subject site. This
investigation was performed in accordance with your request of
August 6, 1976, and those procedures outlined in a letter dated July 15,
1975, by Mr. Roll Strickland of the Municipality of Anchorage Department
of Environmental Quality.
A single test hole was put down within each lot for the purpose of defining
general subsurface soil conditions at the location for the proposed
sanitary system. Excavation was.accomplished with an auger type drilling
rig. Test Hole 1 was extended to a total depth of 20.0 feet below the
ground surface. Test Hole 2 was extended to 14.5 feet below ground
surface. The final logs prepared for the test holes have been included
in Drawing A-.01.
Groundwater was not encountered in either test hole.
A pe~colation.test was performed from a depth indicated and reflects
average infiltration from that depth to the bottom of Test Holes.
