Dear Ms. [,]ee:
At the request of Mr. Ike Prieto I have reviewed our file on
Robindale Subdivision and the recent ~tealth Authority Request on
Lot 21. Since the Department disapproved the request, I want to
further explain that disapproval.
%~e have been in contact with the State Department of
~nvironmental Conservation and have been officially notified that
the community well has not been approved by them° In fact, from
our inf_ormation it appears that the well to sewer distances are
such that D.!~.C. would never approve the well. The State is pre-
~arin~3 to take appropriate action now to force the homeowner's
~ssociation to either provide engineering and as-builts on the
well and service lines, or disconnect existing hook-ups. In the
latter case, each person would have to drill an individual well.
From our files and discussion with Mr. Prieto, we ~ind there is a
limited area on Lot 21 where a new individual well could be
drilled~ gE course, it would De the responsibility gE ti%e owner
and driller to ensure proper well-sewer separations. %'his
Department would entertain a request ~or a "Conditional" Health
Authority Approval provided the Eoliowing conditions were met~
/ 1. .Obtain a permit from this Department for a new well.
~ 2-. ~scrow funds for the drilling and connection, and
disconnection from the existing source.

Dear Mr. Hoffer:
A sewer system adequacy test was performed on the system located
on the referenced property as you requested. The septic tank was
verified to have a capacity of 1500 gallons. The absorption
trench was tested by charging the system with 1000 gallons of
water at the rate of approximately 10 gallons per minute. At
the conclusion of 24 hours, the absorption trench was dry and
water had not backed up into the septic tank.
It can be concluded from this test that the waste water disposal
system serving the two bedroom residence located on this property
is currencty functioning adequately. However, this system can not
be guaranteed against subsequent failure. It should be noted that
the clean outs for both the septic tank and the monitoring tube at
the end of the trench were equipped with adequate sanitary seals and

determined to be located approximately 90 feet from an existing
community well serving approximately seven to nine residents located
in this immediate area°
