Reid, Jr. ~f/~_~ Director of Environmental Quality SUBJECT: Pumping test - Talus West Subdivision On Friday, December 13, 1974, the pumping test for Lot 3, Block 3, Talus West Subdivision, was run in conjunction with Tryck, Nyman & Hayes. The test well was located sixty-nine feet from well number one and one hundred and five feet from well number two. The observation well, number one, had twenty-seven of water in it and total depth of one hundred and sixteen feet. The test well was pumped at 2.7 gpm, for three hours and thirty minutes and then at the rate of 3.5 gpm, for two hours and thirty minutes. There was no ~appreciable change in draw on well number one during the entire pumping period. This would indicate that the eleven hundred and sixteen gallons of water drawn from that test well in the six hour period did not move the circle of influence outward to test well number one. In addition we discussed the well situation in Talus West Subdivision with Mr. Wright, a builder in the area and a former well driller. He indicated that last August he had run his well for a two week period at an estimated rate of 5. gpm, and had not depleted the water level in his well. It would indicate that tentatively sufficient water were available in the Talus West Subdivision, providing that the wells were properly developed with at least sixty-nine feet of space between each well.
