Stark & Associates 957 Westbury Drive Anchorage, Alaska !)9503 Subject: Case #5135 - Family Service Center A review of the subject case shows that: Tract A, the Baptist Convention Building sewer system was approved June 10, 1974. The as-builts on the Baptist Family Service Center on-site sewer system was received September ].7, 1980. This department can not address Tract B and review the soi]_s test as submitted. Our concerns are 90% of the tract(50.0019 acres) has a high water table with a marsh at the east end. The only soils test submitted that can support an on-site septic system are test holes #1 and #2 with the unified soils classification rating of 225 to 250 square feet per bedroom. The test also shows a water table in test hole #2 at thirteen(13) feet. Tile Family Service Center, Tract B; also noted as Parcel ~2 of the Ew~ns Family Service Center, cannot be approved as a whole. The recommended conditions of approval are; no development of Tract ]3 or noted as Parcel It2(50.0019 acres) until public sewer is available. If there are any further questions, please ca].l this department at 264--4720. Sincerely, John W.
