SPECIFICATIONS FOR ON-SITE SEPTIC SYSTEM
LEGAL: Lot 6, Montgomery & BLM Lot 24, TLSN, R~W, Sec. 16
A. GENERAL
1. The drawing and or site plan shall be a part of this specification.
2. All materials and workmanship shall meet 'the requirements of
the Anchorage Department of Health and State
5. All soil tests are advisory to the design and are to be
verified or modified in the field by the engineer.
4 All excavations and depths are advisory and are to be verified or
modified in the field by the contractor to meet MOA, D.E.C require-
ments.
5. It is the responsibility of the owner to obtain all necessary
permits or easements and to locate any adjacent multi-family wells.
6. The excavation is to be exactly in the area shown on the site plan
any deviation requires engineer approval.
It is always recommended that a surveyor locate the nearest lot line
position and the location of any easements.
8. DRAINFIELD
1. The drainfield is to follow the natural land contour to maintain
uniform total depth of the trench bottom.
2. The bottom of the trench shall be level~ plus or minus
The total depth of the trench excavation is not to exceed 14~ at any
point .
4. The sewer line is to be connected to the existing sewer line that
leads to the existing seepage pit. If the existing line is not
usable it should be related.
5. A oleanout is to be placed at the 3unction of old to new lines and
in front of the septic tank.
The existing seepage pit is to be pumped out, caved in and filled
with soil with a mounding to allow for settlement.
The trench gravel is to be covered with typar fabric material.
8. Soil or combination of soil and extruded board insulation to a depth
of 4' or equivalent is to be placed over the drainfield.
9. The area over the bed is to be finish graded to prevent ponding
of surface water runoff.
10. The septic tank and leaohfietd must not be closer than 100 feet
to any existing private well, 150~ to any Olass "C" well~ or 200 feet
to any community well.
11. The owner~ Dian Oovill, is the claimed owner of both lots 6 Montgomery
and 8LM lot 24~ lot 24 was previously part of the Glen Highway right
of way and should be checked for buried utilities before excavation.
