The original 2.5 acre tract is the process of being subdivided (Case S9342); the installation of an approved septic system on this lot is required as one of the subdivision conditions. The soils report used as the basis for the design is one of the soils test submitted with the platting process. Although we were not the engineers which performed the tests, these tests did meet the MOA requirements for water monitoring. The soils tests do not indicate presence of ground water; we have checked the monitoring tubes and found no water in the same test hole. The test does indicate, however, bedrock at 14' deep. The design is based upon the bottom of the absorption system to maintain 6' vertical separation between the bedrock and the bottom of the absorption trench. ~ ~ ~ /~/ ~ _ W~_~ LOT 1 NARNIA SUBDIVISION The normal requirements for area around the test hole require 60' diameter coverage. Since the test holes for both proposed lots indicate consistent soil characteristics, we ask for approval as shown on Drawings 93-S1-05-8 and 93-S2-05-8. The system is designed for a five bedroom house. The owner is building this system as well as the remodeling and addition to his existing house "out-of-pocket". As a result of this, he may not build more than three bedrooms total, and may only construct the system for three bedrooms. The trenches are designed so that the longer one will be adequate for three bedrooms, and the second trench would be for the additional two bedrooms, if built.
