We are proposing that a Quanics Aerocell treatment system (CAT II) be installed on this properly which includes the installation of a 1500 gallon S.T.E.P. tank and trench type drainfield. Attached are a site plan and a design drawing showing the proposed septic system. One test hole was excavated on the property. The drainfield will be designed around the 30 foot radius of this test hole. Comments regarding the design are summarized as follows: 1. SOILS: See the attached logs which show the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the percolation test results. 2. DRAINFIELD DESIGN: See attached design drawing for drainfield specifications. 3. SURFACE WATERS: There are no surface water concerns. 4. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached design, the average topography below the drainfield is relatively flat. In shod, there are no slope concerns. 5. LOT LINE WAIVER: Due to site constraints, we are requesting a 5 foot lot line waiver from proposed drainfield to the north lot line. There are no adjacent septic systems within 10 feet of the proposed drainfields. 6. DRAINFIELDS TO CLASS "C" COMMUNITY WELL WAIVER: A 120 foot waiver is required from a class "C' well on the adjacent property to the proposed septic system. This waiver is being requested to ADEC. Once the waiver is issued we will provide you with a copy. We are unaware of any adverse impacts this installation would have on adjacent wells or septic systems. Tudor Road, Suite 101 Anchorage, Alaska 99507 Re~ Eagle River - RebiscKke Subdivision, Lot 50B-Class "C" Well Separation Distance Waiver Application from 150 Feet to 120 Feet from the Source Well to the Soil Absorption System-ADEC Plan Tracking Number 10902 Dear Mr. Garness, On May 29, 2014 the Deparm~ent received an engineering plan submittal requesting a waiver of the separation distance to the existing Class "C" Source Well on Lot 50B to the planned new wastewater treatment plant and disposal system being replace for the single family development on lot 50E of Rebischke Subdivision. The new system on lot 50E will be within the Class "C" 150 foot well radius which is waivered to 120 feet. The older septi6 tank and field must be removed and properly disposed of off site. (per UPC, Appendix K). Based upon the Engineer's recommendation and the submitted information a waiver for this application has been determined to be protective of public health. found to be failing or determined as endangering public health, the waiver is rescinded and corrective engineering action will be require& This approval does not imply the granting of additional authorizations nor obligate any state federal or local regulatory body to grant required authorizations. Any person who disagrees with this decision may request an adjudicatory hearing in accordance with 18 AAC 15.195 - 18 AAC 15.340 or an informal review by the Division Director in accordance with 18 AAC 15.185.
