The entire subsurface disposal field and/or alternate is not within a 30 foot radius of a percolation
test. The Engineer needs to do an additional percolation test prior to the construction of the septic

require a design change, construction of the system will stop pending On -Site review and
approval. AMC 15.65.060.6.3

The owner would like to renew the above referenced permit which expired on November 26,
2013. Since the original permit was issued a permit to install a well and septic system has been
issued for the neighboring property, Alyeska Basin #7B Lot 3, and a house has been constructed
on Lot 1 Alyeska Basin #7B. Neither of these developments impacts the design or physical
conditions at the proposed well and septic system site.

I am writing to request a well and septic system permit for the above referenced property. The
proposed system will serve an 8 -bedroom residence. Design calculations, a site plan, design
drawings and construction specifications are enclosed for your review.
Design Calcs: No Groundwater observed up to a depth of 18' below ground surface
(4/16/2003).

long trench with 8 feet of sewer rock (1200 sq. ft. absorption area)
Soils: A test hole was excavated on April 9th, 2003 by Flat Top Technical Services. See the
attached soil logs. Beneath a Layer of organics, sandy loam was observed to a depth of 2 feet.
From 2 feet to 18 feet clean, black gravelly sand was observed with sand fraction increasing with
depth. No water was observed up to a depth of 18 feet. The ground water level was checked on
August 22, 2012 and none was observed.
Surface Water: A stream runs along the west property line.There are no surface waters within
one hundred feet of the proposed septic system upgrade.

Topography: The ground level slopes down towards the north at a grade of approximately 15-
25%.
Waivers: A slope waiver is required for the reserve septic field. The reserve field will be
approximately 35-40 feet. See attached profile drawing.
The installation of this septic system will not prevent wells and septic systems from being
installed on the adjacent lots. The proposed septic system will not change the general slope of
the area. Ponding and/or concentration of surface runoff will not result from this installation.
