Upper Meadow Creek Estates This confirms my understanding of our telephone conversation this morning: • A 24 hour flow test is being conducted with one discharge well & two observation wells, according to MOA guidelines. • Sullivan Drilling drilled & test pumped all three wells during the past week. • The discharge well is flowing at 22 gpm; rated by Sullivan @ 20 gpm. • All three wells are within a medial moraine, In the Meadow Creek Drainage. No bedrock was encountered_ Wells are 138',133', & 109' in depth. • Observation wells have minimal draw -down & demonstrate a continuous aquifer with no boundary conditions observed. • A 24 hour recovery test will be conducted on all three wells, followed by written report to MOA determining aquifer yield. • The observation wells will not be further test pumped after the 24 hour recovery period. ���NEERING Upper Meadow Creek Estates Aquifer Test Steve Eng, PE, PH During August 25-27, 2004, an aquifer test was conducted on the new Upper Meadow Creek Estates Subdivision. This subdivision contains 7 large lots and was submitted to the MOA in a 5 August 2004 request (included). 3 wells were drilled & test -bailed by Sullivan Water Wells. The wells (logs included) exhibited good flow during test -bailing and the subsurface material is indicative of a medial moraine in the Meadow Creek Drainage. No bedrock was encountered. A 24 hour flow test was conducted followed by a 24 hour recovery test. The discharge well and the two observation wells were continuously monitored during this time. Testing was conducted according to MOA recommended procedure. Data was graphed on semi -logarithmic sheets (included). Transmissivity was calculated for the discharge well for both draw -down and recovery: T = 878.5 GPD/FT (Discharge Well Draw -down) T = 906 GPD/FT (Discharge Well Recovery) Observation wells @ 150' and 312' were continuously monitored. The observation well @ 312' had a draw- down of less than 1 foot. The observation well @ 150' had a maximum draw -down of 14% draw -down did not commence until after 110 minutes of pumping @ 22 gpm (2420 gallons). Recovery measurements were consistent with draw -down measurements. Coefficients of Storage were calculated for each observation well; the Coefficient of Storage for the Observation Well @ 150' is more accurate because of greater draw -down data. S = 0.61 (Observation Well @ 150') S = 2.6 (Observation Well @ 312') A calculation was also performed using the Steady State Thiem Equation, which includes observation well data: T = 279 GPD/FT The data demonstrates a strong aquifer with a sustained yield to support the planned residential subdivision. This aquifer is capable of providing a much larger flow than is required for this 7 lot, single family subdivision.
