Box 6650 Anchorage, Alaska 99519-6650 Subject: Lot 1, Snowline S/D - Sewer/Water permit Gentlemen: We have performed two soil tests on the above property in preparation for the installation of a new system to serve the proposed four bedroom dwelling. Upon initial testing we found water seeping into the testholes during what we believe was high seasonal water. After a week, there was no water in either testhole. However, our design is based on the higher reading. This lot contains two areas which appear at first to be drainages. These areas were monitored during several months this spring, and in fact only the northern one was wet in the spring. It dried up completely during breakup and is not expected to pose a surface water problem. The other area remained totally dry. The well for this property will be sited near the northeast property corner, thus allowing the system to be placed toward Snowline Drive. We anticipate construction of both the primary and reserve fields at the same time, including the installation of a diverter. There is a gentle slope from the east to west on this lot; additional fill will be placed over the trench after construction.
