April 13, 2023 Municipalities of Anchorage On-Site Water & Wastewater Program 4700 Elmore Road Anchorage, AK 99507 RE: NEW SEPTIC SYSTEM PERMIT LEGAL: SNOW CREST VIEW LOT 25 There may be an undocumented septic system or contaminated soils on site and any encountered will be completely decommissioned per code. We have been requested to obtain a septic permit for an on-site wastewater septic system to serve the above referenced lot. We propose to install a deep trench with an Advantex system to serve the proposed 4-bedroom residence per the attached design. The conservative design with reduced soil application rate is based on area soils and a confirming test hole will be conducted prior to construction of the septic system. No groundwater was observed in any of these test holes to a depth of 21’ in these SW/SP soils – see attached. The slopes are moderate at 3-7% at the proposed upgrade location. The lot and adjacent lots / area are served by a private shared water well with no known private wells within 50’ of the proposed septic system. Based on visual observations and review of available information, the design will not impact any of the neighboring properties. Please contact us if you have any questions.
