There are no immediate neighboring septic systems. 3. Reserve space is adequate. 4. Drainage will not be effected and is not a major consideration in our design. If you have any questions please call our office at 694-5195. Sincerely, Louis Butera, P.E. After telephone conversation with you it was decided that the septic tank would be pumped and leachfield monitored for a decline in level indicating that the field was draining satisfactorily. On 12/03/90 we measured the total liquid level in the monitor tube at end of field at 21.5" above bottom of tube with home occupied. The septic tank was pumped 12/05/90 with a drop in leachfield level as follows (measurements above bottom): Leachfield Tank 12/8 16" 24" 12/9 15" 37" 12/11 13.75" 49" The level in the field would most likely continue to drop however the tank was approaching filled capacity and the camp is trying to avoid further pumping expense. At this time we have demonstrated a marked reduction in effluent levels and expect negligible risk in allowing the system to operate as is, until a proper upgrade can be attempted in the spring, under an updated permit. Due to the shallow bed depth and necessity of excavating the frozen road surface an upgrade at this time would be unadvisabte. The camp is located in a remote area of Chugiak and the only well is located +500 distance. If you have at 69~-5195. Sincerely, any questions or any further concerns please call me Louis Butera, P.E.
